Our History

Frontier Sales & Marketing Group was founded in 1999 by Dennis Clark and Brad Downey. It was formed out of a passion for the outdoors and the outdoor lifestyle. While the agency originally focused on the traditional Hunting and Fishing market channels, it has expanded over time to include Farm & Ranch, Western Wear, Pack & Paddle, Hardware and Law Enforcement. Through the years our agency has grown and territory has expanded to 17 states and so has our sales force. Our team is dedicated to providing unparalleled support to brands seeking to expand their presence in the market.

As a Co-Founder of Frontier Sales & Marketing Group, Dennis has a solid track-record for success during his 30-year tenure in the Outdoor Industry. He has won numerous “Rep of the Year” Awards for his work with Academy Sports + Outdoors, where he has very strong relationships in all areas of the store. He actively calls on numerous Buyers, Assistant Buyers and Merchandising Managers in the fishing, hunting, shooting sports and camping departments to help our manufacturers get the best possible results from this Key Account. Besides the buying staff, Dennis also works closely with Academy Ecom and advertising teams.

Through Dennis’ vast knowledge of Academy and the TX coast, he has worked closely with our manufacturers on product development in fishing, hunting and shooting sports categories to bringing new and exciting product to market.

Denis Breaud

Denis is a career Sales Professional with over 12 years of Retail Sales experience who joined the Frontier team in 2016. A native of New Orleans, he brings a deep passion for the Outdoors and has been in pursuit of this passion since he was old enough to walk. Denis has strong relationships along the Gulf Coast Region and with our key customers and a proven track record for success. He has been awarded multiple “Rep of the Year Awards” by brands such as BUBBA, Grundens and Crimson Trace. In 2023, he took the next step in his career by becoming a “Principal” with Dennis Clark and Cody Roesener. In his spare-timespare-time, he can be found in his skiff sight-casting redfish or at his deer lease in Central Mississippi chasing whitetail and turkeys. Denis is looking forward to the future and growth of Frontier Sales & Marketing Group.

Cody Roesener

Cody has been an avid outdoorsman his entire life and has been blessed to call South Texas home since 2004! Cody has worked full-time in the Outdoor & Marine Industry since 2008. In that time, he has gained significant experience in various aspects of the industry including as an outfitter, retail sales/manager, product development and in marine sales, service, and management. In his time with the agency Cody has produced significant growth with existing brands and successfully established multiple new brands with both key accounts and independent retailers. Cody has been recognized by multiple factories for his work with Bass Pro, Buc-ee’s, CSSI and Pitman Creek Dist. After retiring from the Navy Reserve in 2024, Cody took the next step in his career by becoming a “Principal” with Dennis Clark and Denis Breaud. Cody is passionate about conservation and helping to ensure that future generations have the resources and tools available to enjoy the outdoors.

Tim is an avid outdoorsman and highly respected member of our industry. With his passion for the outdoors, experience, product knowledge and fantastic relationships, Tim has posted double-digit growth in his territory every year of his over a decade long tenure with FS&MG. Tim has a deep understanding of his territory and has been a strong partner in product development for many of our manufacturers. Tim has won numerous awards for individual Sales achievement/growth and has tremendous relationships with his customers.

When not in the field, you can find him either in a bass boat on one of the many great bass lakes in Texas or in the deer stand with his bow.

Chris is a Florida native who has resided in South Florida and the Treasure Coast his entire life. He is an avid Outdoorsman and Athlete who truly capitalizes on his home state’s 365-day outdoor recreation climate, allowing him to get on the water, golf course and tennis courts frequently.

With 10 years of Industry experience, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and relationships to the Agency. His territory includes the majority of Florida with the exception of the panhandle.

Dusty is an avid outdoorsman that enjoys everything from tying flies to hunting turkeys. Despite being the youngest member of the Team, he has over 10 years of Industry experience and obtained his Captain’s license by the time he turned 18 years old.

Dusty has been featured in numerous publications and media platforms throughout the South and has an in-depth knowledge of the sport, the culture and the consumer. Dusty covers parts of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia and the Florida panhandle.

Todd is a lifelong resident of Tennessee. An avid Outdoorsman and serious Southeast sports fan, Todd possesses a first-hand knowledge of the consumers in his region. Growing up in a rich outdoor environment, surrounded by some of the best hunting & fishing in the country has given Todd a lifetime of experience and passion.

A career Sales professional, Todd has tremendous inter-personal skills and great relationships with his customers and Brands. Todd covers Kentucky and parts of Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi and Alabama. In his spare time, he is also an SEC Baseball Umpire and part of a traveling officiating crew.

Originally from Southwest Georgia, Connor has spent the past 14 years working along Florida’s Gulf Coast. With multi-industry experience that includes retail sales, freelance graphic design and gunsmithing, he brings a unique blend of industry expertise and customer-focused experience. As a trained aquaculturist, he spent five years farming oysters, gaining firsthand knowledge of the commercial fishing industry and the products that support it. Combined with his extensive experience in retail sales, this background has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of both recreational and commercial outdoor equipment. Outside of work, Connor is an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing, hunting and shooting sports. These interests have played a key role in advancing his professional career and deepening his understanding of outdoor products.

With over 6 years of retail experience operating one of the largest retailers on the East Coast, Joshua is committed to bringing his customer’s the highest quality of products and service.

Brad Downey

Brad Downey co-founded Frontier Sales and Marketing Group with Dennis Clark in 1999. For over 25 years Brad’s leadership, expertise and dedication was instrumental in Frontier Sales and Marketing Group growing from a two-man operation covering 4 states into the multi-rep agency covering 17 states that it is today! In 2025, Brad retired from Frontier Sale and Marketing Group to pursue other opportunities in the outdoor industry.
